Quick fixes won’t survive September

Hi Reader,

Most “rising needs” plans fail for one reason: They’re built for calm days.

Not for days under strain. Schools don’t run on calm days anymore. When consistency collapses (arrivals, transitions, corridors, unstructured time), the cost isn’t “wellbeing”.

It’s:

  • learning time lost
  • safeguarding/pastoral volume up
  • senior leaders dragged into repeat incidents
  • staff confidence eroded
  • the same pupils stuck in the same loops

So I wrote this to make it practical - Rising Needs Need More Than a Quick Fix (2026/27): The AmbiSense Infrastructure Approach → how to turn inclusion from intentions into installed routines + ownership + light measures→ so it holds in the corridor, not just on the website

Read it here

If you’re planning 2026/27 (and using IMF/IEYF), this gives you a clean structure:

Hot window → Bridge routine (DO/SAY) → Routing/ownership → Baseline → Post-measure

Kindest wishes,

I’ll tell you what to install first.
